Benson’s deliver a ‘priceless’ experience at The Open

Benson’s provided agency Octagon with a winning team of event staff for Mastercard at The Open. The Mastercard Club is an exclusive venue within the Spectator Village which allows Mastercard cardholders complimentary access to added benefits throughout the tournament. 

This year marked the 148th Open Golf championships of which Mastercard has been official global patron since 2012. Their onsite activation aims to bring the brand to life through interactive activities, live golf viewing from comfortable surroundings and appearances from Mastercard gold ambassadors.

The Benson’s team of experienced, confident and proactive individuals, were on site at Royal Portrush for 10 days in total. The championship, which ran from 14-21 July, achieved record ticket sales with the tournament days completely selling out.

Our knowledgeable team were on hand to greet visitors to the Mastercard Club and ensure they received a ‘priceless’ experience. The team demonstrated to visitors, through a series of activations, how Mastercard are making advances in digital payments using Augmented Reality.
